Why isn't the battery indicator working on my Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 5000 keyboard?
I bought the above product yesterday and have put in the supplied AA Energiser batteries (non-rechargable) into the back of the keyboard and have noticed that the battery indicator isn't working. Is this because this feature only works with rechargable batteries?
I tried looking in the instructions for help but there isn't anything on this feature - just a lot of safety information on how to properly use the keyboard and mouse and so on.
Depending on how long it is in stock one of the batteries may be flat therefore not able to run the keyboard. I would take it back and let them test the batteries/replace them/or could be a faulty keyboard.
