Has anyone used a Britax Roundabout 55 carseat in a Hyundai Elantra or similar sized vehicle?
I am concerned about the size of the carseat in my vehicle, since it's on the small/compact size. I have a Chicco Keyfit 30 in there now, but HAVE to have it in the middle of the back seat if I want to have a passenger in the front seat. If it's on the back right seat, it pushes the passenger seat so far forward that no one can sit there. Trying now to figure out what convertible seat to get for fit AND safety. Or if I just need a bugger car. 
Also, my baby is still young (9 months), so the seat will be rear-facing for a while. This changes the fit in the back seat.
It is going to be a tight fit - but just about any car seat probably will be a tight fit. Rear facing, they take up a ton of room - for safety sake it is worth it but it is tough in a small car. When the little one is bigger and you flip to forward facing, it will get easier.
We had twins in a late model Accord and it was tough - we had to pull the front seats forward to allow for the carseats so it was a bit uncomfortable. Thankfully we managed to save enough for a bigger car after a year of feeling like you were too close to the dash!
If you go to Babies R Us, they will let you try the floor models out in your car to get an idea about fit.
